Obituary:
Geneva Cardoni, 67, of Riverton died at 8:25 a.m. Saturday at St. John's
Hospice.
Mrs.
Cardoni was born Nov. 15, 1925, in Iron Mountain, Mich., the daughter of Louis
and
Rosanne
King Derouin. She married Louis Cardoni in 1974 in Clayton, Mo. He died in 1993.
Also
preceding her in death was a sister, Alma Calahan.
Surviving
are two brothers, Bill Derouin of Detroit, Mich., and Frank Derouin of Iron
Mountain,
Mich.;
three sisters, Regina Anderson of Iron Mountain, Mich., Alverna Tepp of Tempe,
Ariz.,
and
Bella Morozak of Milwaukee, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
Inurnment
will be in Quinnesec Cemetery in Quinnesec, Mich.
Kirlin-Egan
and Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Louis Cardoni, 80, of Riverton died at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Hospital.
He
was born Oct. 31, 1912, in Riverton, the son of John and Frances Bernardini
Cardoni. He
married
Geneva Derouin in 1974 in Missouri. Preceding him in death were a daughter,
Susan
Cardoni;
a brother, Domenic Cardoni; and a sister, Celia Tomashavich.
Mr.
Cardoni was a lathe operator and set-up man for Fiatallis, retiring in 1974. He
was a
member
of St. James Church of Riverton and the Riverton Athletic Club.
Surviving
are his wife, Geneva; a son, Louis Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three
grandchildren; a
brother,
Joe of Mount Pulaski; two sisters, Emma Cardoni of Springfield and Suzy Grigiski
of
Brookfield;
and several nieces and nephews.
Services
will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. James Church in Riverton, with the Rev. Ken
Steffen
officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home is in
charge
of
arrangements.

Obituary:
John Patrick Jones, 27, of Riverton died at 5 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Medical
Center.
He
was born March 5, 1967, in Springfield, the son of Gerald M. and Nancy Cardoni
Jones.
Preceding
him in death were grandparents, Harold and Ellen Jones and Samuel Cardoni.
Mr.
Jones was a lifelong resident of Riverton. He was a graduate of Riverton schools
and was a
student
at Lincoln Land Community College.
Surviving
are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald (Nancy) Jones of Riverton; grandmother,
Mary
Cardoni
of Riverton; brother, Dennis G. Jones of Riverton; and several cousins.
Services
will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Staab Funeral Home, the Rev. Roger Simpson
officiating.
Burial

John's Hospital.
She
was born Nov. 15, 1910, in Riverton, the daughter of John and Frances Bernardini
Cardoni.

member of Blessed Sacrament Church, she retired from the Internal Revenue
Service after 34
years
of service.
Survivors:
a sister, Susan Grigiski of Brookfield; a brother, Joseph L. Cardoni of Mount
Pulaski;

nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass: 10 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Church, the Rev. Chris Comerford
officiating.
